Guardians of the Galaxy VOL.2: REVIEW

Guardians of the Galaxy VOL.2: REVIEW

Director: James Gunn
Stars:      Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace , Michael                    Rooker.

It's sequel to the 2014 movie Guardians of the galaxy. The movie is about Peter Quill finding and bonding with his dad and his team's space adventures and that's about it.

GOOD:

The "Good" about this movie is very limited so let's just get that out of the way as quickly as possible.
I would start with my most favorite character "Rocket Racoon" as expected he was at his humorous best. Basically, he is the one lighting up the movie throughout.

Baby Groot was the next best thing, people (Including me) were expecting him to cute and adorable and he nailed that part awesomely. plus hi Chemistry with Rocket is one the highlights of the movie.

In a Marvel movie great action is a given and yes here too the action was great. was it enough to save the movie? well, that is another question entirely, and I suggest you guys stay tuned for the "BAD" part of this review for that.

BAD:

Personally, Guardians of the galaxy is my least favorite movie in the Marvel cinematic universe. But I am completely unbiased in reviewing this movie. I was expecting VOL.2 to be a let down because let's face it the first one was great but not that great plus sequels often are let downs.

The movie is based mostly on Star Lord's bonding with his dad and that is pretty cool is a pretty cool part of the movie but that's not enough to base an entire movie on. I mean you have to consider that you other superheroes in the movie too and you have to give them something to do and that something shouldn't look forced either. And the problem here is that they have given the other superheroes things to do that have nothing to do with anything and it looked forced. I mean Peter is bonding with his dad with whom the rest of the team has nothing to do with? so you give them stupid fights and adventures?

My next point is the "Golden people" what's their deal? who are they? what do they want? what do they have to do with anything? I mean they just come in makes a mess and then leave? and then come again to make a mess?

combining with the points above I would say that they rushed the movie very much, it almost looked like they wanted to just be done with it. Did they think the first one was great so people will love the second one anyway?

One of the highlights of Guardians of the galaxy (both) was the humor, and believe me I am all for it, I loved it but there is such a thing as too much humor, and that was a problem with VOL.2. They had too many jokes and too much humor and no focus on the rest of the movie.

THE FINAL WORD:

Guardians of the galaxy VOL.2 was made for "The fans" who will watch it no matter what I say, so I am talking to the rest of you Non-fans avoid this one.

Unforgettable: Review

Unforgettable: Review

Director:  Denise Di Novi
Writers:   Christina Hodson, David Leslie Johnson (screenplay) (as David Johnson)
Stars:       Rosario Dawson, Katherine Heigl, Geoff Stults

I saw this movie that forced me to do an early comeback to my blog. The name of the movie was Unforgettable which is so ironic because it was so forgettable it forced me to write about it as soon as possible otherwise I would not remember it.
I am not gonna spend too much time on it because let's face it, it's not worth it.

Normally I divide my reviews into sections of "GOOD", "BAD", and "THE FINAL WORD" but for this one, I am just gonna tell you guys what's bad about this movie, because there is nothing good about it.

I would like to start with the script. The script was so bad that at times I felt like they didn't have a script at all and just kinda rolled with it. it was confusing, it was rushed, it was bad.

Another thing I absolutely despised, and what bothered me throughout the movie was the little things that (I think) they did to make the things work out somehow. for example, Every time they leave the car they leave their phone behind in the car. I mean in this day and age who does that?
or in the scene where Rosario Dawson is trying to call 911 and Katherine Heigl cuts off the line and then she can't call! isn't it 2017? even in the movie all of them have iphones.

The next is the final thing I would like to talk about is the fact that there is no build up whatsoever in the movie. eg, Katherine Heigl's character is kind of creepy, crazy in this movie and considering the fact that it was supposed to be a thriller, one would think that they would take their time revealing that but NO, she is crazy from the start and it kinda kills the whole point of a thriller.

This is supposed to be the part of the review where I tell you whether you should watch the movie or not. But I think you guys know that by now. So, yeah! avoid it even if they are paying you.
